Primary Establishing Shots

Establishing shots are an integral element to any scene change in a comic book - helping to reorientate the reader, and provide context as to where the action is taking place at any one point in time.

But drawing establishing shots in a way that's compositionally pleasing to the eye is a whole other ballgame - where we're looking to push the depth of the shot with foreground, middle ground and background layering, while at the same time drawing attention to the key focal points within the panel.
