ABOUT THIS LESSON

Why do some comic book pages look flat and boring, while others pull the reader in with depth, dimension and maximized visual impact - what's the difference?

It's so easy as a comic artist to fall into the trap of drawing characters from the direct front or side, panel to panel, in our comic sequences. Which is fine for one panel, or maybe even two panels every few pages...

But these orthographical camera shots can easily lead to that flatness we want to avoid at all costs in our pages. If we want to pack a punch with our panels, the shots within them have to be dynamic.

In this lesson, I'm going to show you how to achieve that! - And by the end you'll have a set of nifty tools you can use to give your comic book pages that elusive 'WOW' factor so many others lack.
