ABOUT THIS LESSON

Perspective grids can be an incredible tool for any comic book artist - but they can also confine your creativity if you don't use them correctly.

In this lesson you'll learn how to draft up your ideas first, then build a perspective grid over the top of them - rather then layering your ideas onto a perspective grid.

This is a much more freeing approach to perspective drawing, where you can explore the creative potential of your scene, and let it determine where the horizon line and vanishing points should go.

In this context, Perspective grids become a final step in the drafting process to ensure the accuracy of your sketch.
